Key information No.1: The Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO.ORG) estimates that Ugandan farm production capacity can feed 200million people. 80 percent of Uganda’s land is arable but only 35 percent is being cultivated Uganda has nearly 50% of all the arable land in the East African Community countries.Our SECOND strategy is to activate ALL East African Community (EAC) farmers to join the online fromyfarm commodities exchange so that they can maximize their farm output and profitability. The EAC includes: Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda , DR Congo ,South Sudan and Somalia.
Key information No.2 : The total combined population of these eight countries is over 300 million, which 3.7% of the estimated global population of 8 billion. Our THIRD strategy is to activate ALL Sub-Sahara African Countries farmers to join the online fromyfarm commodities exchange so that they can maximise their farm output and profitability. There are 46 Countries classified as sub-Saharan Countries.
Key information No.3: It is estimated that Africa contains nearly 60% of the world’s uncultivated agricultural land.That Africa can feed the entire world if all its arable land was productive.
